If Bristol has anything approaching an underground sound poster-boy, it may very well be Matt Loveridge. That said, this kid is barely out of short-trousers – and with a bewildering array of projects both solo and collaborative (as Team Brick, as BEAK>, as Yoshi!, as Klad Hest… et-fuckin-cetera) he already a proven, endless mother-lode of liquid ear goo dripping from these tepid West-Country skies.

When Head of Acquisitions here at lf towers notified me that Matt had signed a 15-album deal with the corporation I gotta say I was shocked and elated – like what’d this do to the employee stock option? Could I safely retire seaside? The answer is  ‘hell yeh and with glacé cherries’ – what was delivered is the vision-tone of GNAR HEST, described by the boss-man as ‘sick party-insect bro-drone split outfit’.  That’s a pretty rad and accurate description if you ask moi. Some of you mugs might file this under synth-tune or some other withering post-Gen Y genre, take it from me, you’re way out of line and off-decade. This is the modern dance, like Lady Oneohtrix Ga-Ga, flashmobs and footwork. WTF? Put this shit on over your lame-o Daft Punk soundtrack and speed deeper into the grid, barreling towards eternity, non-existence as harsh as is…

One track (20 minute) 3” mini-CDR in micro-DVD case. Limited to 50 copies worldwide.
